IV&V Business Analyst

Compensation: Salary Commensurate with Skill Level and Experience

Mid/Senior level manager needed for a full-time permanent position at an established small business with a reputation of being an employee-friendly work environment and a full fringe benefit package.  U.S. Citizenship is a firm requirement. Job location is in the Washington DC Metropolitan area.

Job Purpose: 

Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates user requirements, solution design, business use cases, and policies. Familiar with systems solutions that support overall business strategies including IV&V support. Documents system requirements, defines scope and objectives, and creates system specifications that drive system development and implementation. Analyzes and assesses "As Is" business practices when compared with industry best practices, and documents the gaps. Acts as liaison between IT and users and have both business and technical expertise using Agile, Kanban and Atlassian Jira.

Skills/Qualifications: Performs a full range of analyses of business rules, processes and assist management as they oversee the software development team as they modernize a loan application and credit approval system. The Business Analyst will support management and technical advisors on IV&V assessments to include software development efforts, management processes, quality assurance processes and documentation processes used by the development team. Analysis activities include review of the client's functional business processes, functional requirements and business rules. Duties also include supporting project schedules, coordinating the availability of the appropriate functional resources for the assessment and oversee that portion of the project. For each assessment finding, must be able to provide practical recommendations.

Other qualifications include:

  • Experience in supporting IV&V of information technology efforts.

  • Experience in Agile software development methodology preferably SAFE, including requirements identification, analysis, quality assurance test development, documentation, and implementation planning and management.

  • Business process review and re-engineering of federal practices as they relate to implemented systems.

  • Experience supporting financial systems modernization.

  • Supporting IV&V activities under the direction of the IV&V Project Manager.

  • Assisting with documenting detailed findings, issues, risks, and recommended risk mitigation approaches.

  • May be required to work on-site at for certain periods of the contract assessing, monitoring, and analyzing systems implementations; design and development work for business requirements; designing solutions, analyzing user requirements; and applying analytical expertise to assist in defining, analyzing, validating and documenting complex operating environments, states of technology, and current processes.

  • Proficient with analysis of business and technical processes.

  • Able to work effectively and efficiently in a team, under strict timelines.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Education: Successful candidates should have a Bachelor's Degree in a technical or related discipline.  Position requires a minimum of 5 years of experience.  

Other Requirements: Due to the nature of some contracts, U.S. Citizenship is required.  A background investigation or security clearance is required.

Program Manager

Job Purpose: Manager/Technical Lead on the Program Infrastructure Team that develops and maintains network, web, and cloud-based enterprise platforms and communications. Program Manager supervises and directs technical and functional professionals involved in emerging technologies, program management, financial and budgeting responsibilities and a user communications and outreach program for a diverse and complex contract. 

 

Skills/Qualifications: Experienced Team Leader/Player in a broad spectrum of IT and management skills.  Accustomed to managing and directing a diverse program team.  Understands finance, budgeting, estimating, acquisition and community interaction.  Able to interpret end user requirements into actionable taskings.  Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Seasoned consultant with excellent client/end user engagement protocol and presentation skills.

 

Education: Successful candidates should have a Bachelor's Degree in a technical or related discipline.  Position requires a minimum of 5+ years of complex infrastructure experience.

Job Purpose: Lead Engineer on the IT Infrastructure Team that develops and maintains network, web, and cloud-based enterprise platforms and communications. System security, risk management framework, and compliance are critical components. 

 

Skills/Qualifications: Experienced Team Leader/Player in a broad spectrum of infrastructure platform design and consulting, understanding of policy and procedure development, involved in the analysis and application of emerging technologies incorporated into complex operating environments, capable of leading, participating and contributing to multiple projects simultaneously.  Seasoned technologist with excellent client/end user engagement protocol and presentation skills.

 

Education: Successful candidates should have a Bachelor's Degree in a technical or related discipline.  Position requires a minimum of 5+ years of complex infrastructure experience.
