OSD Exercises First Option Year of Five-Year Contract

Annandale, VA —  April 4, 2006 —  QSMI, a leading provider of IT services and solutions, announced today that a major component of the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) has exercised the first option year of a five-year contract with QSMI. The objective of the contract is two-fold: 1) to provide all of the services required to maintain and support a critical program planning budget and execution system, and; 2) to conduct a comprehensive technology refresh by planning and developing a new system around an n-tier and Web services architecture implemented with a best-of-breed technology platform.

The new system will enable various Directorates in the OSD end-user community to generate and maintain their internal budget, spend plans, and contract execution business processes. Services QSMI will provide under the contract include: requirements analysis; software development; data modeling; Tier II database administration; application support; and end-user training and outreach.
